NEW Goldmaking Opportunities - Love is in the Air 2024
They said in a blue post that the game was pushing out catchup knowledge points and still had to be balanced.
Wish there was some sorta minigame catcha to delete all the bots.
Yo! Super lazy review mate, why every single gold making guide out there makes a review and auto assumes wev played DF ? How about some actuall in depth usefull information next time?
bro please, "Irradiated" ----------> ɪˈreɪ.di.eɪ.tɪd
I hope when expansion will be close you will make real gulde for herb/mining like best builds, is druid better then dracthyr
Im very disappointed in your testing of the gathering i spent about 10hrs doing it myself and it looks like u didnt even go into the underground zones to to look at the other effects. in ur guide i have found a decent level of info normally however u dont compare botany vs overloading and which is better to focus u dont give a quick guide on what each effect is from the herbs and ores. and which one looks the best to focus when using ur overloads. this is by far the least amount of effort ive seen u put into a video and was sadly the one i was looking forward to the most. really a damm shame and lowering my opinon of ur content hope u remake this video with my suggestions above and dont let ur content slip from the level i have seen u put out.
First look. It isn't a guide Your comment is useful for me though haha. Peace. Hf
I appreciate the feedback but this was clearly stated as a first look. Covering the basics of what the profession has to offer. There is still 8ish weeks until launch and honestly plenty of time for "deep dive" style videos and guides. Fear not, there is a lot more to come :)
Now he will have too make a proper guide now xD - clever use of reverse psychology over the internet.
@@Manthieus that’s fair ur other first looks have been a lot more in depth and it’s why I’ve subscribed to you hence why I expected more from the video but I havnt Unsubbed and hope to see some good data in the offical guide :)
So, the flocks of Druids flying through the land scouring for herbs will return in The War Within.
Skygolem allows herbing while mounted also
Since they have made proffs xpac bound except for glyphs my mains will do gathering as they lvl. thanks for this vid
So chill to watch. And informative. Usually listen/ watch while I'm working from home or studying.
My major frustration is that NPCs can literally request recipes you don't have. Given the Lariat situation that's plagued DF, and that it still costs a few million gold on my server, it's unlikely every crafter can afford to buy every recipe on the AH. In beta, I had virtually every learnable recipe possible and the game requested a PVP-dropped recipe I didn't have. That makes me concerned that I won't have even half the recipes being requested weekly and the entire system will just annoy and frustrate more than it helps.
Yeah...Inscription is severely busted. I think it took like 1200+ herbs just to crack into specializations. I'm assuming they will tune this down like they have with everything else. And the loot tables are definitely not tuned correctly. Still not even halfway through Beta, so I don't expect them to polish this for awhile. I like the idea of the "super ink" that requires all of the pigments, it just feels a bit awkward trying to level up inscription that way. Especially with nodes being random or people farming ahead of you, it can be hard to have just a singular path to leveling that requires every herb. Also, I'm not sure why Arathor's Spear is not included in the milling.
was this somehow addressed or still same ?
1:42 Scribes won't have a 200% chance of finding cards. They'll have a 3 times higher chance than non-scribes.
is it worth getting the beta access now or wait a few more weeks?
no weapon runes this expac?
15:28 alt-armies made for gold making are not in need of special qol features just for them. No half war normal player will have an issue with this, be glad there's a stacking for people who can't or don't want to spent time in the game every day.
thankyou, nice guide
Im flabbergasted at the state of the profession. No crafting darkmoon cards and no mount equipment either. If it stays like this, likely just gonna be an alchemist
I'm confused now..I'm not doing it for the gold at all just for the contracts and the books.
will you do a more detail guide for inscription, regarding how to skill the knowledgepoints for making gold?
Yes of course! But much closer to launch.
@@Manthieus perfect, thank you
Lame...no bows crafts on Carving sub ... cold be great for hunters
Any chance you will cover tailoring 🧵???
So inscription is not going to be worth getting into?
I remember dumping alot of Gold in early dragonflight trying to Max out all 8 professions. I ain't going to be such in a rush this time round.
So even more useless profession then its been in DF got it ...
I really don't think they should be a money maker via commisions. Another WoD/Legion mission table style "passive" money maker where you routinely log in umpteen alts for <2 minutes to check a list to click a button to make raw gold would be bad for the game. An addon to auto calculate whether a work order is profitable based off current material costs is guaranteed (doesn't this already exist?). I don't think the world quest comparison is good for two reasons. First, the time requirement to travel around and complete the quests is significantly more. Yes, I can log on a character and clear all the raw gold world quests and net around 4-6k gold, depending on how many are up, but it will take 20-30 minutes, or longer. Second, doing world quests is still actually playing the game. Flying, combat, interacting with the world. It's not just a spreadsheet of non-existant npcs. It's healthier for the game to encourage players to do the former. The only way I could see commissions somewhat positive is if they serve as a sink for materials, to provide a base floor market value. As in, the AH price for herb/ore x should never go below y gold because crafters could just fulfill npc work orders and get y gold from it. DF was utterly terrible at this, with most common mats being worthless (over saturated supply) within a few months. IMO, they should be for what you said, ensuring people skill up, complete weekly quests, or gain knowledge points when there aren't enough actually player orders to fulfill. The pattern rewards are also good. I'm sure they can come up more that aren't just raw gold. I agree that a fixed, scheduled reset of the orders (twice a week with world quests would be good) is preferable. They shouldn't be a chore you have to constantly check. And I do agree they should be more tailored to what you can make or get skill from, rather than a seemingly random assortment. As for providing mats, I'm see positives for both sides. On one hand, it isn't very realistic for patrons to be consistently making bad offers. So if you aren't getting much of a commission, then they should provide the mats. On the other hand, evaluating whether or not you think the outcome (gain of skill points or pattern etc) is worth the cost of mats is pretty much the essence of gameplay for a crafter. Sometimes you will just pass. Sometimes you'll be totally willing. If all provide all the mats, then everything will be as simple as filtering by "can I make this" then clicking complete down the list, as you'd only be gaining, never losing.
They also need to add the ability to require quality with public orders. And a catch up mechanic for starting later in expac.
A few comments. I think NPC orders should always be providing their mats (and low commission). It would be difficult for the devs to use AH data to determine a reasonable estimate of mat cost on the AH (there could be a bait post when they look it up, there could be a shortage). Sometimes you can look at a 2k commission WO and be like "that doesn't cover the mat cost". I think NPC work orders, while remaining personal, should be listed alongside, and counting as public orders. Then it becomes a choice to spend a public order charge on a player or an npc, and also incentivises posters to pay more than an NPC would.
In my opinion and experience, could be wrong, but I don’t see any changes except for some numbers happening in 11.0. Especially for something as low a priority for blizzard as professions I would be very very very surprised if they make significant changes a month before it ships. Feedback is great and could improve 11.1 or 12. But IMO the time for feedback that could significantly affect and effect 11.0 was several months ago.
I was hoping for more. NPC craft orders is not it. Who even asked for this? We can already send ourselves orders from alts. The real problem is locking knowledge points behind weekly craft orders.
I hope the require-all-mats does not make it to public orders. It is silly I have to go spend time to find one 10s vial / parchment / flux … when the crafter has thousands
They could reasonably do a "require all non-vendor mats" for that kind of thing. As you say, vendor trash reagents are just busywork most of the time.
Will you please do dungeons on your next stream?
lol that looks like fucking huge miss and im 5 seconds in
What many people need each week are enough work orders finish various crafting quests, including the "craft 10"-type quests for Traders Tenders. NPC work orders don't always have to be about profit or gaining skill points, especially once the expansion is 9-12 months along or older. Certainly skill progression is important at first, but there are a LOT of players who have zero interest in using Professions to make a profit, they just want to finish the quests.
You can also ''boost'' yourself with using a trial account, level a char to 20( Best classes priest and Monk or DH) Been leveling chars on my main account, takes from 1 hours 50 minutes to 2 hours and 5 is my average time spent leveling, doing the exact same strat as metioned above( makes it easy to level dps only classes for queing and such)
I agree. If the NPC orders don't provide a sizable profit or skill ups, then players are just going to ignore them. Players will just wait for the NPC orders that provide a crafting schematic they may need.
Not right. Leatherworker workorders in dragonflight are few and far between, i've managed to finish all of them every week because i accept the 5k loss per workorder because people dont pay for their own mats and they know its a weekly
@@kristofferv Yeah that is EXACTLY why I don't do them.
@@christopherdaffron8115 right, but if the work orders are provided and basicly a net neutral, then why not do them for the quest?
@@kristofferv Well sure if you are just trying to finish your weekly crafting quest, but after that why bother? For me, I just used my alts to post work orders for each other to complete the weekly crafting quest.
The NPC commission should set a price floor. I am sick of all public orders having no mats and 1 Gold commission.
im just sitting here waiting for the TWW professions tier list like you did with dragonflight.
Oh its coming :P
no materials should be offered reward should be profession related box gives - materials skill up tomes skill points - for mastery gold at random maybe more things
I found out while leveling a BS on beta, that you /need/ max skill in order to guarantee q3 alloys using q3 reagents. In order to get that you need to spec some points into armor or weapons and hope someone (or an npc) needs your item at low quality (or waste your own and your alts' sparks on it). Either that or always use concentration and very quickly spec into ingenuity instead. Idk, it feels weird, might be cool if the npc orders can fix that by giving out skill points, even if it's only on some.
i personally dont care for the commission, i just want a way to finish the weekly without having to log into an alt and make crafting order for myself. I do agree that mats should be included or covered, but I'm ok with a net 0 profit.
Loving the idea of giving skill points or knowledge even if they cap it to a few per week to start the expansion. This would allow them to easily tune it later in the expansion.
So question..... do I need to pay an npc who doesn't exist a 10-20k gold tip for said npc to press a button to make me something I already spent over 30k buying the mats for?😂😂 Coming from sargeras illidan and stormrage servers
Npc's don't craft for players, players craft for npc's
As someone who has only played with Herbalism and Mining on Dragonflight, why the hell is the option for the comissioner to provide reagents? I always tought this, as a game, should be as simple as possible: I pay you gold, you provide me the item I want (higher the item, higher the cost). But in these last 2 or 3 expansions it's so weird and convoluted, makes me not want to spend any time in professions at all.
NPC work orders should always include all materials and ideally maxed rank mats
I don't think being able to level up a profession without having to spend any mats is what's intended. The problem the system is trying to solve is that to level past 75ish, crafts using sparks are usually required. An NPC order really only needs to provide the missing spark to solve the problem.
.
I think it makes sense to have hearty meals cost 5 regular food items, since it serves as a "food sink" once the prices of food become cheap enough that the 5-to-1 ratio doesn't matter, so it serves as an upward pressure for demand when prices are low enough to make the QoL of hearty meals affordable. One demographic for whom hearty meals will be an actual power gain (and not just QoL) will be people pushing tight M+ keys. If you don't have that, and you die in a key, you have to either spend 10 seconds eating your food (which may sometimes mean that your teammates will need to wait for you), or give up your food buff after a death.
It took me 35 experiments to learn how to make a mana pot on the beta, this seems extreme.
At least with so many daily CD and concentration I will have an alt army crafting stuff
